National Qualifiers

Congratulations goes out to our very own TEAM FRENJI AAU squad for qualifying for AAU National Tournaments this summer. The 14u qualified earlier this month. For further information on our team rosters and schedules, please visit the website. In addition to Nationals, the 14u team just went up to the New England Super Regionals in Foxboro, Mass and got to the Gold bracket and lost in quarterfinals. For tourney info go to:

Bronner Commits

TEAM FRENJI CYP player 6’0 Iona Prep star JORDAN BRONNER committed to the U. of New Hampshire this weekend after an official visit. We congratulate Jordan on his commitment to the D1 school and wish him the best of luck. He will be playing in the America East Conference.

National Invite

TAM FRENJI would like to congratulate 14U AAU player MATT STAUBI on his recent selection to the Adidas Jr. Phenom National Camp this summer in California. Matt will be the 2nd straight Frenji player to be invited to the camp (last summer was current 13u player Jaleel Barr). Great job Matt and good luck out in San Diego.

Mr. Calhoun Checks In

TEAM FRENJI Alumni MELVIN CALHOUN dropped us an update on how things are going down in West Palm Beach, Fla. & sent us this nice picture after a workout.

The team finished 28-6 and #11 in the country. He averaged 8ppg and 6apg with 3steals. Porky has been working out with Coach Dwayne McClain non stop and is looking to get a national championship next year. Porky recently was just home and visited with us during the CYP Championship run. Next up for Porky is continued workouts with the team, individual workouts with Coach Massimino’s pro connections and playing this summer with his TEAM FRENJI ELITE team in Greenburgh, NYC and wherever else. He will send us more updates and pictures as the summer approaches.

Rivals News

Team Frenji Alumni Hassan Whiteside and Lance Stephenson have been named to the Rivals All-American Freshmen Team (2nd and 3rd teams respectively). Here is the link for info:

TEAM FRENJI Alumni and the #1 Shot Blocker in the Nation, 7’0 Freshmen HASSAN WHITESIDE of Marshall U. has decided to make the jump to the NBA. Hassan is listed as a top 10 pick according to Chad Ford of ESPN and is listed as a lottery pick on and We at Frenji Sports wish him the best as he got onto the ultimate level. Hassan has signed with Andre Buck of the Artizen Management Group. The NBA Draft is in NYC on June 24th.

In addition to Hassan another TEAM FRENJI Alumni has also decided to make the jump to the NBA as well. Frankie Williams Charity Classic participant LANCE STEPHENSON of Lincoln HS and the U. of Cincinnati has decided to go pro as well.  Lance has yet to sign with an agent but is expected to do so soon. Congrats to Lance and his family on getting the chance to realize their dreams. Lance is projected as a high 2nd round pick according to ESPN’s Chad Ford, and

CYP Champs Again!!!
